In 1990, as an outgrowth of my training in biblical counseling at IBCD, I wrote Uncommon Vessels and More Than Bread. Both of these books were, for a time printed and distributed by IBCD. More Than Bread is no longer in print.

In 1999 I wrote Love to Eat, Hate to Eat which was published by Harvest House. Love to Eat represents my most complete thought on the topic of eating behaviors and how to effect godly change. It is written in a book format with questions at the end of each chapter and a number of forms for readers (and groups) to use. Because of the work that I did on Love to Eat I rewrote Uncommon Vessels to reflect these changes in my thought.

UV contains 40+ Bible studies and forms (based on Love to Eat) and is written primarily for group use in the local church context. There is both a Leader’s Guide (with more information and answers to the Bible study questions) and a Member’s Manual. Both of these books are available through Timeless Texts and Evangelical Bible Book Store.

In some copies of the UV Leader’s Guide there is a reference to a notebook and other materials that are needed. These references are a misprint. Everything you’ll need to run and oversee UV groups in your local church is contained in the Leader’s and Member’s books.

Thanks for your interest in helping women address their eating in consistently biblical ways.
